Theatre
Graduate of the National Theatre Conservatory, where some of her favorite roles included Ophelia, in the Solo-Shakespeare project Assured Loss Before the Match be Played, Rhonda in Richard Caliban's Surf City and Shirley in 5th of July. Regional credits include Richard III, A Christmas Carol (Denver Center Theatre Company), Caucasian Chalk Circle, Uncle Sam's Satiric Spectacular, 4th of July (Actors Theatre of Louisville). Ms. Ortiz is currently secretary and founding member of aMios in New York City.

Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Florida, Melissa has enjoyed singing, dancing and acting since she was a little girl. She received her BA in Music from Rollins College.
